NicabateCQ / Nicoderm / Niquitin Patch Combo

Unfortunately the Nicabate Patch Combo is no longer available.

Nicabate CQ patches are known as NicoDerm in the US NiQuitin in Europe.

Nicabate CQ is a very popular and effective form of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT). The 'CQ' stands for 'Committed Quitters'. Each Nicabate CQ patch lasts 24 hours. It aids the user in the fight against nicotine withdrawal symptoms by releasing a small, controlled amount of nicotine into the system. Nicotine withdrawal symptoms can include anxiety, irritability, mood swings, trouble sleeping, headaches, dizziness, mild depression, and weight gain. It is these unpleasant symptoms that make smoking so hard to give up. They can also make it a difficult experience being around someone who is trying to stop smoking by going 'cold turkey'. After 24 hours you simply remove the patch and replace it with a new one. Because you are always wearing a patch, it helps people who may have found it too difficult to deal with the severe nicotine cravings experienced when they woke up in the morning when they were using a 16-hour patch. It is very easy to use. You do not have to worry about receiving the correct dosage.

In order to gradually wean yourself off nicotine you only need to use smaller dose patches until you do not require them anymore. There are three strengths of 24-hour patches available as part of the Nicabate CQ system. The strongest is the 21 milligram (mg) patch which releases 21mg of nicotine over its 24-hour lifespan. The middle patch is 14mg and the smallest of the series is the 7mg patch. Each box contains seven patches, a week's worth of treatment. Nicabate CQ offers a step-by-step programme that takes the edge off your nicotine cravings and allows you to focus on making the necessary behavioural changes to quit smoking.

If you smoke more than 10 cigarettes per day, then we recommend that you try the NicabateCQ 6-2-2 programme or the NicabateCQ 6-4-0 programme. Each box of NicabateCQ 24-hours patches contains 7 patches, enough for a week’s worth of treatment.

If you smoke less than 10 cigarettes per day, then we recommend that you try the NicabateCQ 0-6-4 programme. With this programme, you start by using the 14mg patches for 6 weeks and then change to the 7mg patches for 4 weeks, so that you can gradually wean yourself off nicotine. Each box of NicabateCQ 24-hours patches contains 7 patches, enough for a week’s worth of treatment.
